Explorer Passports will be delivered to schools on Friday, May 18. The Passports give children free admission to parks and attractions in Prince William County. Start off this Saturday at the HCHY EXPO at Pfitzner Stadium, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. View map of activities and schedule of events.

Students, the following website can be accessed from home.  This is a great opportunity to get some last minute practice in!  This year's SOL format will include some different ways for students to enter the answer, ie type in the number as opposed to selecting a, b, c, d.  Please take some time over the next few days to use this website at home.  It is the same one that has been used in school, but more practice is always good!

Our very generous business partner, Tae Kwon Do Master Yi, visited at  Westridge during lunchtime.  Mrs. Hayden, Mr. Khan, and Mrs. Fasana, along with some students, had fun breaking boards!  Your child received a blue flyer today to announce the program of 4 lessons for $25.  All of the money raised will be donated to Westridge for student activities!  We appreciate this extremely generous donation and hope your child(ren)will be able to participate.

Westridge has opened a second computer lab.  This lab is complete with 30 laptop computers, an Activboard, and a printer adding an additional classroom for our students. Thank you, Mrs. Hayden, for making this possible!

Or, citizens may also sign onto the list of speakers maintained at the entrance to the School Board meeting room at the beginning of a regular Board meeting, but prior to 6:55 p.m. on the evening of the meeting. MAY 17 - Community Meetings Scheduled
Staff from the Office of Facilities Services will meet with advisory councils or similar school committees at the elementary schools and host one community meeting to obtain input from parents and the community at large. The community meeting for Westridge and Springwoods Elementary Schools is Thursday, May 17, 7 p.m. at Springwoods Elementary School.
JUNE 13 - A public hearing will be held at 7 p.m. on June 13 during the School Board meeting scheduled for that evening in the School Board Meeting Room at the Kelly Leadership Center.

Congratulations to all who participated in the PTA 5K on Saturday.  Thank you to the parents who sent in photos from the 5K. Check them out in the Latest News in Photos.  We are very proud of the Westridge Running Club for participating.  They did a fabulous job yesterday and many of them earned extra ribbons or trophies.
