Thank you for the typing program, PTA!
The PTA has purchased the web based version of Type to Learn 4 for every Westridge student! Letters have gone home to all students in Grades 3 - 5 with the website and login information. Students in Grades K- 2 will receive their information next week.
CAN YOU LEND A HAND? ....OR A MITTEN?
The Giving Tree is covered in "MITTENS" this month with requests from teachers for supplies (like glue sticks, kleenex, etc) that are needed in their classrooms. If you are able to lend a "hand", please take a mitten off the tree and return the item to the office (with mitten attached) or to the teacher who requested it. Thanks for your generosity.
Mark your Spring Calendar!
We have made a change to our spring calendar with our Knights on the Run Race and Family Fun Carnival- BOTH EVENTS will be on APRIL 21st! We'll have the Knights on the Run 5K race/1 mile Family Fun run in the morning and then continue the fun with our Spring Carnival. We still need volunteers for both events so if you are interested in helping with the race planning or race day activities, please email Tiffany @ ttefft@usatoday.com. If you're interested in helping out with any part of the spring funfair carnival, please email Sharon @ sbellfunfair2011@gmail.com. Thanks in advance- they'll both be great family fun!

What's your favorite school?
Westridge parent, Stacey Campbell, entered a shopping spree contest and named Westridge as her favorite school. As a result, Westridge was awarded a check for $1000 on the school's morning broadcast. Thank you Mrs. Campbell. We appreciate your support!

Westridge students share their artwork
Move over famous artists! Westridge Elementary School artists are taking over the spotlight! Mrs. Hawkins, our art teacher, has teamed up with Artsonia, the world's largest online kid's art museum, to display the students' artwork. Check it out at www.artsonia.com

All students should check out this great website about Cyberbullying. The animated characters from Garfield and Friends explain important truths about Cyberbullying. The characters give examples on how to stop a cyberbully.
We want to make Westridge a community where all students can be safe on line.
