Line of ELL students saying hello different languages

Hello Parents and Students!  My name is Mrs. Heckert and I'm very excited about this coming school year.  I am a mother of three children. My two daughters attend UVA and my son is a junior in high school.  My husband is a retired Marine and we have spent many years here in the Woodbridge area. I enjoy traveling with my family, morning runs and good food.  I speak Spanish and have always had a love for languages and different cultures.  I  enjoy my job and find it very rewarding.  I hope that your child finds this year to be fun and full of learning opportunities.  Please come by,  I would love to meet all the parents of my students and share with them their child's progress.

Due to not being at school at this time, I have posted some links that your child can use to practice their English skills. These links can be found under the Useful links tab on the left hand side of your screen.

Please refer to this link for information on how the state of Virginia supports, teaches, and assesses multilingual learners.  https://wida.wisc.edu/
