Please have your student log into Microsoft Office and then into teams.  I have set all of them up on teams and will be uploading information there.  I have also added several ZOOM meetings for the students.  They will be 30 minutes in length weekly and focus on thinking skills.  The ZOOM invitations are in each students Teams folder.  If you need your child's Microsoft information you can contact their teacher or Mr. Sample.  Meetings will begin April 14, 2020.

Gifted Identification Update

With the closure of Prince William County Schools due to COVID-19, the timeline for gifted identification has been affected. The division-level Gifted Identification/Placement Committees will meet to review cases and make decisions regarding eligibility as soon as possible when PWCS reopens. We will continue to keep you updated as the situation evolves. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the gifted resource teacher at your child's school

March 18, 2020

I hope everyone is enjoying time reconnecting with your families during this unimaginable time of COVID-19.  I will be posting updates for currently eligible students on BLOOMZ, as that is the platform we have been using all year for the information that applies to everyone in the program.

Notes about the current eligibility process.  As of this moment the gifted education department is working on how we will handle all of our third grade reevaluations, new evaluations, and referrals.  As I am informed I will let you know.  I do have all of the students who have recently been referred folders at home, so if you have questions about what has been done thus far I can answer those.  I am sure we will come up with a creative solution.  Parents you may email any of the paperwork you had sent to you regarding student evaluations.  I can get the hard copies once we return to school.   Thank you all for your patience and understanding.

Student EMAIL, and Seesaw I have had several students send me completed work through either their OneDrive or Seesaw.  That is totally fine, I am happy to look at projects and provide feedback.  If anyone wants to create a project and share it with me that is totally fine. I will respond to everyone as quickly as I can.   I do not have access to student paper folders---they are at school.  For my students on Kodeable, I will share that information with your families on BLOOMZ so that you can access those accounts, and work through what I already assigned to you.
