Week of May 20, 2022
This week, we read several books about maps. We also listened to the story Rosie's Walk, where we learned about positional words. In class, we created a fun storyboard based on this book and had fun retelling the story with Rosie as a puppet. In partners, we wrote an "All About Me" book, where we did an awesome job using our snap words and word-part power. In Math, we practiced measuring each other in class with cubes. We also read the books Cookie's Week and A Very Busy Year and practiced putting the days of the week and the months of the year in order. Finally, we talked about telling time to the hour and made our own paper clocks. Ask your child to sing the Paper Clock song to you! In Social Studies, we started a new unit of study on maps. Together, we drew a map of our classroom.
Have a wonderful week!!!
